Ségolène Caboche

Ségolène Caboche studied bioinformatics at the Université d’Evry Val d’Essonne (France). She received her Master’s degree in 2006. She is currently a PhD student in LIFL and ProBioGEM laboratories at the University of Sciences and Technologies of Lille (France) with an INRIA/Region fellowship. Her work focuses on the development of a software plate-form for the analysis of nonribosomal peptides.

Philippe Jacques

Philippe Jacques obtained his PhD degree in 1988 in Biochemistry from the University of Liege (Belgium) followed by postdoctoral appointments in Phytopathology and Microbiology at the Agricultural University of Gembloux (Belgium) and in Organic Chemistry at the University of Cologne (Germany). He became Associate Professor at the Agricultural University of Gembloux in 1996. He is currently Professor of Microbiology at the University of Sciences and Technologies of Lille (France) and Associate Professor at the University of Brussels (Belgium). He runs a research group whose work focuses on the biosynthesis and the properties of NRPS products.

Gregory Kucherov

Gregory Kucherov is a CNRS senior researcher working in the bioinformatics group of the Lille Computer Science Lab(LIFL). Previously, he worked with INRIA in the LORIA research unit in Nancy, France. He got his PhD degree in Computer Science in 1988 from the USSR Academy of Sciences, and a Habilitation degree in 2000 from the Henri Poincare University in Nancy. For the last ten years, he has been doing research on word combinatorics, text algorithms and combinatorial algorithms for bioinformatics and computational biology.

Valérie Leclère

Valérie Leclère obtained her PhD in molecular virology in 1993. She has been appointed associate professor in microbiology since 1994 in University of Sciences and Technologies of Lille. Her main interests are focused on knowledge on NRPS synthesis and improvement of production of different compounds after genetic engineering of the bacterial strains, using molecular biology approaches.

Maude Pupin

Maude Pupin obtains a PhD thesis in biology, specialized in bioinformatics, in 2000. She is now an associate professor in computational science at the University of Sciences and Technologies of Lille, in the LIFL laboratory (Laboratoire d’Informatique Fondamentale de Lille). She is working on two topics: sequence comparison without alignment and the development of bioinformatics tools dedicated to nonribosomal peptides.
